I am visiting my for three weeks sister in Colorado. I have dental insurance but it’s a PPO. My filling fell out last night. Will my insurance pay? Will an emergency dentist see me even if I am not a local resident? Or should I wait until I get home? Thanks!Tara
Tara – Call your dental insurance provider and let them know the situation. They will tell you how to proceed with your emergency appointment.
An emergency dentist will be happy to see you and replace the filling. In fact, emergency dentists are willing to see patients who don’t have dental insurance at all. It’s important for you to have the filling replaced so that you won’t experience pain and possibly do damage to the tooth.
Call both your dental plan provider and the emergency dentist so that you can get in right away.
